OK so we gathered at the usual spot.....found a couple of nice adversaries for my Z.....a 2001 SVT Cobra with a supercharger (don't know they already made it for this car)....the race was not even funny.....left him on the dust, every single time (even on 1st, a car on 2nd...about another car on third and a couple more on fourth).......ahhhh felt good. Then some cocky bastard comes in a C5...(the funny thing is that I just got done talking some smack on these cars a few days ago in some other forum)...so I get my friend to grab his video camera to post it later, right? Well, by the looks of it, some wheels, exhaust nothing else visible except a big RK Sport sticker on the windshield. I have toasted 00/01' C5's before so I thought this should not be a challenge..........EXCEPT......... I got beat.....fair and square, I got beat.....We were both even of the line up to 1st....he pulled a bit on second and was ahead of me by a car on 3rd and towards the end of fourth as was barely beginning to catch him but he would let off...WTF>? We tried it a second time, I bumped up the boost a tad more and I lost my extra weight (my buddy Jason), similar results...this time I got a jump on the start by about 1/2 car...he would still catch me on 2nd and on third he would be a nose ahead of me.....halfways through fourth we were dead even, then we both let off. He would not run a third time, I wanted to run a bit longer because I think I could have had him then. OK, maybe I need to tell you guys he had a big bottle of NOS on the back which I didn't see until we pulled back into the station....the guy would not say much but he said he runs low 12's on the 1/4 @ over 116.....those are very similar times to my car......anyways, a very humbling experience........sigh!@ I am not sure if I want to post this video though :-)
